Old houses, deep lots, big oaks.
Grant Park is Atlanta's oldest neighborhood park and one of its oldest neighborhoods, and the yards show it. Most houses are Victorians and Craftsman bungalows from the 1880s to the 1920s on narrow, deep lots. Front yards are small and public. Backyards are long, often shaded by oaks older than the house, and a lot of them slope toward Ormewood and Boulevard Heights.
That combination drives most of what we do here: shade grass that thins out under the canopy, leaf seasons that bury a yard in a week, and backyards that have been let go because they are out of sight from the street.
- Shade. We pick grass and plants for the light you actually have under the oaks, not the light on the seed bag.
- Leaves. October through December we are in Grant Park every week. Book cleanups early.
- Slopes. Sloped backyards get gravel paths and stepping stones instead of washed-out mulch.
- Narrow access. Our crews know which side yards a mower fits through and which need a push mower and a wheelbarrow.

What Grant Park neighbors call us for most.
Backyard cleanups
Long shaded backyards that got away from someone. We clear, haul and reset the beds, usually in a day.
Weekly mowing
Small front yards, big backyards, and a crew that already drives past your house. Electric option on request.
Backyard makeovers
Turning a sloped, shaded backyard into a gravel patio, fire pit and planted beds you actually use.
A shaded corner nobody used, turned into the fire pit.
A backyard a few blocks from the park had a back corner under two oaks where grass had given up years ago. Instead of fighting the shade we leaned into it: cleared the stumps and roots, graded it flat, set a gravel pad with steel edging, built the fire pit, and ran a stepping stone path back to the deck. Shade plantings along the fence line finished it.
That is the typical Grant Park makeover. The yard is not short on space, it is short on usable space, and the fix is usually hardscape plus the right plants rather than more grass.

What Grant Park neighbors say.
Nice people, quality work, fair pricing and responsive service. What more could you want? Grantlanta has done several big jobs for us in a particularly wild part of our yard, and they always work quickly and without hassle. We’re glad to hire them and support a local company.
Grantlanta did an excellent job resetting my front and back yard allowing me to keep my sanity given the amount of rain that resulted in a ton of overgrowth. They removed and cleaned everything we discussed and mulched where it needed to be mulched. All was done on time with great attention to detail. I’m very happy with the result, to say the least.
Fast and affordable leaf removal made simple. I will definitely be using them again in the future.
Grant Park questions.
Do you work on houses in the Grant Park Historic District?
Yes, and most of our customers here are in it. Landscaping and lawn care do not go through the historic review that exterior building changes do. If a project includes a fence or a structure, we will tell you what needs approval before we quote it.
My backyard is a jungle. Where do I start?
With a cleanup. Most Grant Park backyards that have been let go come back in a day. Once we can see the ground, we can talk about what to do with it.
Can you mow between the houses?
Usually. A lot of Grant Park side yards are under four feet wide. We bring a push mower where the zero-turn will not fit, and the price accounts for it.
When should I book leaf removal?
By early October. Between the park and the street oaks, Grant Park yards fill up fast, and our fall schedule fills up with them.
Do you offer the electric crew in Grant Park?
Yes. Our Quiet ATL crew is based here. Ask for it when you request your estimate.
How much does lawn care cost in Grant Park?
Every yard is different, so we quote in person and the estimate is free. Small front, big back is the usual shape here, and we price the whole lot, not the frontage.
